In an industry known to stir up controversies on even the most uncontroversial character, one leading lady has kept gracefully away from the gossip mills that keep spinning away tirelessly. Asin has maintained an impeccable record and a flawless image. What has helped her do this? Well, there might be many factors but the one that we feel has worked the most in her favor is that she has got the right person managing her career. It is her dad who does the job and the care that he takes in making the right moves on his daughter’s behalf cannot be replicated by any professional. It is in this context that Asin was recently quoted saying that ‘my dad is the only man in my life’; she was being asked about the existence of a boyfriend or any plans to meet someone. Her reply was perhaps the best that any actress has given (in recallable memory) to such a question.
Well, there are other reasons too why she has not been subject to many controversial observations like many unfortunate actresses of our times. Grapevine always manages to churn out something about an actress and her co-star. But, Asin at most times has shared the screen with senior actors like Suriya (twice), Vijay (twice), Ajith (twice), Vikram (once) and Kamal Haasan (once), which straightway ruled out any possibilities of rumors making the rounds. And, her choices too have defined her well. Maybe she has not waited for the meaty heroine-oriented roles; she has featured in regular commercial entertainers. But even in the midst of commercial fare she has never allowed herself to be relegated to the status of a show piece that just comes for songs and disappears afterwards. 
Looking at what Asin has managed to do, it would not be wrong to say that she worked herself into a position where any gossipmonger who carried grapevine about her would end up looking foolish.
But, there is more to Asin than just the clean image. We are not sure whether she makes extra efforts to steer clear of controversy or if it comes naturally to her. Following the success of her Bollywood debut “Ghajini”, actor Asin is literally on cloud nine. In Chennai recently, she said, “God has been kind to me and given me all the good things in life. ‘Ghajini’ has given me a big break in Bollywood. But, people think I work with only top heroes. That is not true. I consider projects as a whole. My criteria for signing up a film are a good story, an able director, a fine production house, a nice role and, last but not the least, an affable co-star. That need not be a top hero. Whoever the director feels suits the story best is okay with me. So I do not have any hang-ups regarding heroes. Similarly money does not matter that much.”
Mumbai, Feb 14: Bollywood’s latest discovery Asin has an undeniable charm that never fails to bowl over her fans. She was greatly appreciated thanks to Aamir Khan’s ingenuous promotional strategies for ‘Ghajini’, and now the lovely lady is going places. This V-Day Spicezee.com caught her carrying her elegance solo, and got a chance to quiz her about her mysteriously single status. With remarkable honesty, Asin talked about what the Valentine’s Day means to her.
Never caught in any controversy or in any industry link-up, Asin stressed, “I am very much single, and I have never had a boyfriend.”
When asked about what this special day means to her, she clarified, “Valentine’s Day does not have any personal connotations from me. It is about love anyway for me, love of all kinds. It just has to do with love, that’s all.”
About her plans for the day of love, she replied, “I have no special dinners planned - nothing extraordinary. It is a day like every other day.”
Such disinterestedness is sure to catch the interest of cupid, who is always ready with his dart for exactly such unsuspecting victims. So, if love happened, which Asin is sure of, how would she like it to be?
“You can’t plan these things. Let’s see how it happens to me,” was Asin’s prompt reply.

Asin jumped from her car to save a child on one of the busiest roads in Andheri recently
A source said, “Asin was in her car at Andheri when she saw a small boy standing in the middle of the road. The poor boy seemed lost and looked completely puzzled by all the cars that were whizzing by. He didn’t even notice a speeding car that was coming in his direction.”
Asin, we hear, ran out of her car, jumped across the barrier, lifted the child and in the process, lost her balance and fell with a thud. The source added, “The child fell on Asin and was saved. However, the actress suffered bruises on her arm and wrist. She did not feel any pain at that moment but was shocked to find swollen hands, the following day. Her arms were wrapped in bandages and Asin had to wear full sleeve costumes for her photo shoots.”
Asin confirmed the incident but refused to divulge any other details. “This is something personal,” she said, “I don’t want to talk about it.”
Her character of Kalpana in Ghajini would be the dream girl of any man. The southern beauty Asin who is ruling the hearts of millions has never had a boyfriend in her life. She said that the only man in her life is her father who is managing her career at this moment and for the record she has never been involved in a relationship with any guy in her life.
The actress who acts with Salman Khan in her next movie London Dreams is in all praise for him. When asked to compare between Salman and Aamir she said it was impossible as both of them were legends in their own right. Asin said she was only focusing on her career right now and was happy being single. Well all her male fans wouldn't mind her single status.
